EXERCISE EXCURSIONS
3 HOUR PROFESSIONAL DOG WALKING
This program is designed for pet parents seeking to fulfill their pet’s exercise need through 3 hour excursions in which they can run, swim, and train. This program is offered to the city of Sulphur, Louisiana and surrounding area by Austynn Harbison.
What is to be expected to be gained from the program?
This program is centralized on the pet being able to walk, run, and swim while receiving training on obedience. Pet’s gain both physical exercise and mental stimulation.
SKILLS
Recall
The dog returns to handler when the cue is given. Skills included with this is nose touch and check-ins.
Handler Engagement
The dog desires to remain engaged with the handler during distracting or exciting scenarios.
Impulse Control
The dog is able to remain neutral when different distractions are present
EXERCISE
Environmental Enrichment
The dog is allowed to interact with the environment in ways that they find most enjoyment from.
Swimming
The dog learns how to swim confidently in multiple waters and vegetation
Toy Play
The dog is able to play with a toy that they favor either as fetching, tugging, or carrying the toy.
What are the requirements for the exercise excursion program?
The program requires dogs to be a minimum of 5 months of age (20 weeks). Proof of appropriate vaccinations are required for enrollment. This includes DHPP (Distemper, Canine Adenovirus types 1 & 2, Canine Parainfluenza Virus, and Canine Parvovirus), Rabies, and heartworm prevention of owners preference. The Leptosporosis vaccination is not required but recommended.
Females in season are allowed for the program. They will be withheld from swimming activities until 4 weeks after first bleeding noted.
Most all dogs are accepted into this program. However, any dogs that show aggressive behaviors towards people or dogs cannot be accepted into the program at this time.
Due to transportation constraints there are size and weight limitations. No dogs over 100lbs or taller than 25 inches are able to be accepted at this time.
What is expected & gained from the exercise excursion program?
Pick Up & Drop Off
Dogs will be picked up and dropped off for the Exercise Excursion within the service radius.
Travel Safe Transport
Dogs will be transported within the vehicle using Ruffland Kennels to keep them as safe as possible.
3 Hours of Pet Care
3 hours of physical exercise for each dog booked per session between the hours of 8 AM & 5 PM.
Personalized Report Card
At the end of the visit a PDF document will be sent with written up documentation of the excursion. As well, during the excursion photos and videos will be sent to the parents.

Austynn Hoffpauir, owner and primary trainer for Positive Mark. She has been professionally working with dogs as a kennel assistant, doggy daycare supervisor, and veterinary assistant since 2018.
With her personal dog, Lace, she has competed in multiple sports-scentwork, hunt tests, dock diving, barn hunt, and shed hunting. In addition to dog sports that they compete in, she and Lace work together in other disciplines such as waterfowl hunting in Southwest Louisiana and conservation detection to locate bird and bat fatalities from wind turbines.
Austynn offers reward based dog training services for obedience, puppy manners, exercise excursions, and started gun-dog.
